The 16-pin OBD-II diagnostic port is fitted to many light vehicles and some commercial ones. Where it is present, the device plugs straight in. No technician, no wiring.
J1939 / Deutsch for heavy equipment
Excavators, haul trucks, graders, bulldozers, cranes and drilling rigs run the SAE J1939 CAN bus over a Deutsch 9-pin or 6-pin connector. The device connects natively and reads the same detailed diagnostics as it does on a road truck.
