Request Deletion of Your Data

This page explains how to request deletion of the personal data held in the Tralogit mobile app and the Tralogit fleet management platform, both published by Tralogit Inc.

How to request deletion

    Contact your fleet administrator first

    Tralogit accounts are created and managed by the company that employs you, never by the user. Your administrator can delete your account and the data attached to it directly from the platform, and this is the fastest route.

    Or write to us directly

    If you cannot reach your administrator, or if you are the account holder, send an email to info@tralogit.com from the address associated with your account. Use the subject "Data deletion request" and include your full name and the name of your company.

    We confirm and process the request

    We verify your identity, then process the request and reply in writing within 30 days. If part of your data must be retained by law, we tell you which part and for how long.

Data that is deleted

  • Your user account: full name, email address, job title, telephone number and account credentials
  • Your driver profile: licence number, licence class and expiry date, certifications and training records
  • Internal messages you sent or received through the in-app messaging feature
  • Photos you attached to maintenance work orders
  • The location recorded when you logged a fuel purchase, once the related tax period has closed
  • The notification identifier assigned to your device by the mobile app

Data that is retained, and for how long

Some records cannot be erased on request, because the law requires the carrier to keep them. They are retained by the company that employs you, which is the controller of that data, and are deleted at the end of the period below.

  • Hours of service records and daily logs: a minimum of 6 months, as required by the Commercial Vehicle Drivers Hours of Service Regulations
  • Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR): a minimum of 6 months, for the same regulatory reason
  • Fuel purchase records used for IFTA fuel tax reporting: for the duration of the applicable tax period
  • Invoicing and accounting records: for the period required by applicable tax law

Telematics data produced by a vehicle, such as position history, engine fault codes and driving behaviour events, is attached to the vehicle rather than to you personally, and stays with the fleet.
